Tri-Taylor takes its name from the triangle formed by Taylor, Ashland, and Ogden Avenues on Chicago’s Near West Side — a compact neighborhood sitting in the orbit of Rush University Medical Center and the broader Near West medical district. The Taylor Street commercial corridor runs along the southern edge, and the residential blocks between the hospital campus and the commercial strips contain older two-flats and single-family homes that predate the neighborhood’s current medical identity by several decades.
