Lake Zurich

Lake Zurich is a mid-sized Lake County community centered around its namesake lake, with a mix of older homes near the downtown and waterfront and newer subdivisions that filled in the surrounding farmland through the 1980s and ’90s. The older sections near the lake and along Route 12 have homes from the mid-20th century and earlier, while the newer subdivisions are now old enough to see their water heaters, sump pumps, and in some cases polybutylene supply lines reach the end of their useful life.
